  7. Here is a screenshot of my actual Linux X setup. As you can see, 
  8. the environment is  the  wonderful  AfterStep,  powered  by  the
  9. latest 3.9.18 Permedia XFree86 driver. The machine  I'm  running
  10. LinuxPPC is a 1200T with BlizzardPPC+ and BVision. In  the  shot
  11. you can see:

  13. -AfterStep environment, with Ostx style windows. I  really  love
  14.  Afterstep, it's nice to see, fast and cool, unlike  all  normal
  15.  window manager, imho too much Windows-ish.

  17. -A quick GIMP session, with an opened image renedered in  a  few
  18.  clicks using the Supernova effect, a couple of lens flares, and
  19.  a nice dropshadow effect.

  21. -The wonderful AbiWord program. This piece of software is great,
  22.  if you miss Word you really should give a try at  this,  has  a
  23.  great support for .doc files. (www.abisource.com)

  25. -The demo of the game Myth2, running in a X window. As the  shot
  26.  shows, the graphic is really incredible, and runs  in  high res
  27.  (640x480 and more up to 1024x768) with software rendering.  The
  28.  game features 16bit gfx, transparency effects,  a  great  intro
  29.  and a excellent gameplay. If you have LinuxPPC, you should  try
  30.  it! You can download the demo (60mb tar.gz archive) from one of
  31.  the Loki games mirror (like ftp.linuxgames.com).
